Summary

He shouldn’t want her。。。

She knows he’s the one。

She’s off limits。

Besides the fact that she’s my deceased best friends sister,
she’s also way too young for me。

There’s too much between us, including the guilt that I feel every day

that I couldn’t save her brother。

But no matter what, I’m going to do as I promised。

I’m going to look out for Cora。

But soon I find that I can’t just stand by when she puts herself in danger。。。

or when another man asks her out。

I have a choice to make:

Let her go。。。 or make her mine。

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book。 This is the third book in the Heroes with Heart series, fast-paced and quick to read。 This emotional best friends younger sister romance is well-written and entertaining。 I liked both Patton and Cora, sweet likable characters。

Ravaged Hero, Heroes with Heart by Hope Ford was a heart warming story about a war hero and the promise he made to his friend a fallen soldier to take care of his little sister。 It had everything I wanted it a romantic read。 Kudos。

This is book number 3 in the Heroes with Heart series and focuses on Patton and Cora。 Cora and Patton have been in love with each other since they met through her brother Jason。 When Jason died and Patton wasn't able to save him he has held on to so much guilt but still upholds his promise to look after Cora。 Cora had been trying to get in contact with Patton for a year to no avail。 When he takes a job at the hospital she works at, they begin to spend more time together。 I absolutely loved this This is book number 3 in the Heroes with Heart series and focuses on Patton and Cora。 Cora and Patton have been in love with each other since they met through her brother Jason。 When Jason died and Patton wasn't able to save him he has held on to so much guilt but still upholds his promise to look after Cora。 Cora had been trying to get in contact with Patton for a year to no avail。 When he takes a job at the hospital she works at, they begin to spend more time together。 I absolutely loved this story! The story is written well and theast intertwines with the present, letting you know everything you need to understand the strong connection and chemistry between these two lovely characters。 I enjoyed seeing them reconnect and work through their issues, the ending was lovely and made me smile。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 4。5 stars。This is the first story I have read from this series, I can't believe I've missed the previous two! I absolutely loved this book。 It covered some of the struggles for veterans。 Especially those who have lost their friends in combat。 The struggles for them and the guilt when they survive and others did not。 I loved reading this story。 My first read from the series。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。

Cora was trying to Contact Patton after her brother was killed in the war and Patton had tried to save him。 This was a story about the mental effects war has on Veterans。 Set in a romance, yet reveals how the effects of what happened in the war affects Patton。 And this how he relates to Cora。 I loved the chemistry between Cora and Patton, the push pull of the relationship but underneath it all, he just wanted to protect her and love her。 Hope Ford writes a sweet story that goes above and beyond Cora was trying to Contact Patton after her brother was killed in the war and Patton had tried to save him。 This was a story about the mental effects war has on Veterans。 Set in a romance, yet reveals how the effects of what happened in the war affects Patton。 And this how he relates to Cora。 I loved the chemistry between Cora and Patton, the push pull of the relationship but underneath it all, he just wanted to protect her and love her。 Hope Ford writes a sweet story that goes above and beyond to give us all the feels。 Great book!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

Sweet, with just enough angsty bits so it's not sappy。One of the better versions of the "deceased best friend's little sister" trope。 I enjoy this author's work very much。 In spite of the shortness of the stories, she manages to get the full range of emotions to make it believable; well, once you get over the improbability of insta-love, but we wouldn't be reading these if we didn't, right? This series, dealing with the after-effects of military service on veterans, has been emotional and sweet and full of hope。I really felt that the emotions of Cora and Patton come through in the story。 Cora is a case worker for the VA。 Cora's brother, Jason, was killed in action about a year ago。 Her brother's best friend, Patton, was a medic (now a Dr at VA) and saved the other 2 of the group, but couldn't save Jason。 She is unhappy because Patton hasn't returned her phone calls for over a year since her brother's funeral, so she thinks he doesn't care about her, even though she's been in love with him for years。 Patton has been falling for Cora since he first met her, but felt that she was out of bounds because she's the sister of his buddy that he couldn't save in the military accident that killed Jason and disfigured Cole (from Book 1, Scarred Hero) and caused Jeremy to lose his legs (Book 2, Wounded Hero)。 He has been carrying a lot of guilt about not saving Jason; he promised to "look out for her" which he interprets to mean he can't have a relationship with her。 Cole sets him straight。 I don't want to give any spoilers, but of course there is an HEA!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

I have read all the Heroes with Hearts books by Hope Ford。 Patton and Cora's story was my favorite in the series (and I didn't think any of them would top Jeremy's)。 Patton and Cora were brought together by her brother, Jason。 Jason, Patton, Cole and Jeremy all served together。 Patton helped save Cole and Jeremy, but couldn't save Jason and he lives with that guilt。 While dying, Jason made Patton promise that he would take care of Cora。 Even though he was in love with Cora, Patton allowed their I have read all the Heroes with Hearts books by Hope Ford。 Patton and Cora's story was my favorite in the series (and I didn't think any of them would top Jeremy's)。 Patton and Cora were brought together by her brother, Jason。 Jason, Patton, Cole and Jeremy all served together。 Patton helped save Cole and Jeremy, but couldn't save Jason and he lives with that guilt。 While dying, Jason made Patton promise that he would take care of Cora。 Even though he was in love with Cora, Patton allowed their age difference and his guilt to keep them apart。 But 6 months after Jason's death, Patton left the Army and moved near Cora thinking he could look after her and keep his distance。 Cora has been in love with Patton since she was 18 but has felt the constant sting of his rejection。 She knew Patton carried guilty over Jason's death, she just didn't realize how deep that guilt ran。 It wasn't until Cole set Patton straight that he finally confessed his feelings for Cora。 He expected to feel guilt when he told Cora he loved her but instead he felt peace。 They completed each other and it really showed in the epilogue! This is the third book in the Heroes With Heart series。 All three books revolve around a platoon that suffered a terrible day that left them all feeling broken。 These are short stories, but they are all incredible and totally worth the read。 You can read them as standalones, but the characters all make an appearance in each book。 There is some steaminess, but all have a happy ending。I was given this book for free by Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review

Awesome book three in this series。 Patton has loved Cora since he first met her as his best friend’s little sister but she was off limits。 Tragedy happens and Patton pulls away from Cora。 He’s still keep his promise to her brother Jason and watching out for her but he’s hiding in the shadows where the darkness gets him。 This was a sweet emotional read。 The storyline was well written and the characters were likeable and relatable。 Patton tried to ignore the pull he felt towards Cora wanting somet Awesome book three in this series。 Patton has loved Cora since he first met her as his best friend’s little sister but she was off limits。 Tragedy happens and Patton pulls away from Cora。 He’s still keep his promise to her brother Jason and watching out for her but he’s hiding in the shadows where the darkness gets him。 This was a sweet emotional read。 The storyline was well written and the characters were likeable and relatable。 Patton tried to ignore the pull he felt towards Cora wanting something better for her。 Cora only wanted the love of one man and that was Patton。 A nice epilogue which brought the three friends together again。 I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

I received this as an arc for my honest review This was a beautiful and heart wrenching brother’s best friend romance。 This was the kind of story where I wish I could give more than 5 stars。 In such a short story Hope Ford managed to make me feel such a wide range of emotions that I’m still reeling。 The relationship between Patton and Cora wasn’t straight forward but their chemistry was undeniable。 I loved everything about their way to a HEA。

Quick story about second-ish chance。 Patton is her brother’s best friend (not sure age difference there was, since Parton kept bring it up) and Cora was the little sister。 Cora fell hard to Patron but she kept her love hidden even after tragedy stuck her family。 Now a year later after not seeing nor hearing for Patton, who promised she could call him, Cora was sad。 Little did she know how close the man was。

I thought that this was an awesome book。 Cora and Patton's story was heartbreaking yet heartwarming too。 Cora and Patton have been in love with each other for years but the age difference, Cora being Patton's best friend's little sister and then the death of Cora's brother have kept them apart。 My heart broke for these two and everything they went through but really glad they finally got their HEA。 I really enjoyed this book and this series。 I would recommend this book and Ms。 Hope as an awesome I thought that this was an awesome book。 Cora and Patton's story was heartbreaking yet heartwarming too。 Cora and Patton have been in love with each other for years but the age difference, Cora being Patton's best friend's little sister and then the death of Cora's brother have kept them apart。 My heart broke for these two and everything they went through but really glad they finally got their HEA。 I really enjoyed this book and this series。 I would recommend this book and Ms。 Hope as an awesome author。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more
